UPSIZE STAGES :: EXIT STRATEGIES

About Upsize Stages

UPSIZE STAGES is a series of guides detailing how to operate businesses at distinct stages in their life cycle. This is the third guide to be published, Upsize Stages: Exits.

After years of hard work, business owners deserve to create a successful exit strategy that will maximize their and their financial backers? return on investment. This guide is intended to succinctly help companies with all facets of the challenge, and to introduce them to local experts who can act as trusted resources.

Upsize reporter Andrew Tellijohn interviewed many sources to prepare the articles, including business owners who have successfully sold or passed down their businesses; accountants, attorneys, investment bankers and other financiers who help firms with everything from estate planning to valuation to tax planning; and brokers and other advisers who have managed multiple such deals in their careers. Contact information for major sources is at the end of the guide.

The guide includes excerpts from Q&A interviews with experts who work with exiting business owners. Hear the full podcasts by clicking here and then the expert?s name. The first two guides in the series are available at dev.divistack.com; May 2007 for Upsize Stages: Turnaround, and November 2007 for Upsize Stages: The Early Years.
